TRANCE ENERGY 2007
An unforgettable event!

It's monday. I returned yesterday from Trance Energy.
I'm still inside a dream, flying into the sky. I had my ass kicked so strongly,
I'm still under the shock of the event.
But before all,
do you know what Trance Energy is?
Well, if you don't like electronic musics, big shows and communities who share
a passion for something, there is a little icon on the top of your window called
"Close".
Just click on it, otherwhise, be my guest and welcome! :)
As I said, I'm still inside a dream, a magic sensation
of wellbeing, like a travel into space.
For people who don't know yet, I'm a pure, real fond of electronic musics and
especially one style called Trance. The term has been massively used for something
like 20 years now. It includes many influences, many different substyles and
with time, the community admits the Trance style became nowadays very
mature. When I was a teenager, the term of Trance was more or less reserved
to some weird musics, that kind of musics you listen in rave party (the
term of trance party was not very popular). In other words, at this time trance
= rave = strange people = drugs (xtasy) = boum boum.
This time is over.
Trance is nowadays everywhere. Some will prefer good old psychedelic style like the emblematic "Infected Mushroom", some others will prefer vocal trance or symphonic trance, some others again would prefer more agressive beats like hardtrance, no matter Trance is a complete and mature style. You surely already listened at some on TV or cinema without even have been aware of it.
Since 1999, there is now an event, taking place each year in Netherlands. This is event is called Trance Energy. This year, it was the first time I went there. I was used to trance parties here in France like the famous shows in Gibus, Paris, but they never had a real approbation from the clubbers. Here we prefer other styles like tech house, commercial bullshits or worst, R'n'B (and this last is a real plague).
After having listened at tons of DJs mix around the planet, tons of songs, tons of radio and watched tons of video, I couldn't resist any longer, I had to make some road/plane/boat (no matter), but see what other countries had to reserve to me and, trust me, I was not disappointed!
My choice was Trance Energy merely because it was referenced as the biggest trance event of the world, taking place in Netherlands which is a country I just love for having already travelled there some times.
At
first,
lot
of
friends
was
motivated
enough to
follow
me
and
discover
the mysterious thing.
We were supposed to be 5. From my side, I bought my ticket 4 months before
the show.
Months passed, date (03/03/2007) approached and, as usual,
the common thing happened: "Mhh, well, in fact I have lot of work at this
time,
not many
money,
blah blah, ... so it will be hard to follow you.".
Hey dudes, if you read
me, there is no problem anyway, I just write my little report and I'm just
laughing a little since I could not even count the number of times
this kind of situation happened before
:)
Finally, we were... 2!
Saturday, 03/03/2007 at 2h pm, we leaved Paris, direction: Utrecht, distance:
500 km.
I will not write a full report since I purposely made some videos where I
speak (in french, hope you'll be able to understand).
You are invited to watch the gallery and to forgive me if the camera shakes
a little too much (I didn't had a professional camera with motion stabiliser
or so).
What I could say is that has been an unforgettable experience. Trance Energy party was not only a night event inside a disco club. It was a village with bars, restaurants, shops, ... Even Nintendo had a stand there with a demonstration of their Wii. Trance Energy party was a phenomenal event with 30.000 people all sharing their passion of music which is about peace, love and energy, featuring 4 different stages: club stage, future stage, hard stage and main stage. The smallest had the size of say, a medium nightclub. The biggest, mhhh well, I don't have any comparison anywhere, it's just another planet with incredible lasers, smokes, giant screens, etc. and even fireworks! Just watch the video to have a clue of the titanesc size of the dance floor :)
If I already liked Netherlands, this time I just felt in love. There, people are beautiful :) No kidding! All girls are tall and thin. All boys have blue eyes and listen electronic musics. Damn, this is just the way the life should be everywhere :) I'm of course caricaturing a little but well that's the idea.
Ok, wrote enough. Time for some materials now.
Hope you are going to enjoy
:) Maybe you also went there and you have also some materials to share with
me?
In any way, don't hesitate to get in touch!
See you all next year for a new trance adventure!
In the mean time, don't forget: Be Good, Be Fast, Be Friend!
Trust in TRaNCe!
Igor.
